Description: Under new ownership Palm Desert CC is one of the oldest golf courses in the valley. With homes lining every fairway this is a classic desert design. Wide tree lined fairways accept most shots, only poorly struck balls find trouble. The course winds through an old Palm Desert neighborhood and sets up both dog-leg right and left tee shots. So ability to work the ball off the tee allows for greater opportunities to score. This is a very playable course for all levels. No target golf here just straight forward classic golf. Hit good shots, get rewarded with low scoring. Greens are firm and fast and as in all valley golf everything breaks towards Indio.

This Pete Dye signiture course offers challenge to all levels of golfers. With five sets of tees one can choose to test their level of skill. A well placed tee shot must be executed to avoid the many bunkers and water hazards that line the course. After finding the fairway one must decide whether to go for the pin or avoid trouble and aim to the center of the large undulating greens. There are bail out areas on most of the greens so avoiding trouble must be planned in advanced. All in all this Pete Dye design allows the skilled golfer a challenge both physically and mentally, and allows the vacation golfer to enjoy the beautiful scenery and country club athmosphere.
